Meaning behind the film Emmanuel
The name 'Emmanuel' means 'God with us'. The name comes from the Old Testament referring to Christ (Isaiah 7:14 spelled 'Immanuel').
This film is meant to display how a person might respond towards one who has done wrong and deserving of punishment; how retribution is deserved
or how mercy can be demonstrated.
The characters in this film are 'types' and are not meant to be exact
representations of persons portrayed
as those in the bible.
